Squall

Squall

Title: Squall

As an individual who lives with PTSD, daily tasks I used to take for granted, are now difficult to complete. A rush of anxiety will overcome me. Suddenly, sharp- like a squall coming across the ocean. At that moment, I am surrounded by pain, memories, dread swirling around me. In that fleeting moment, I become paralyzed closing my eyes to wait for the moment to pass.

Squall represents that moment, the confusion, the holes in my memories, being engulfed in that moment, and waiting for the calm seas to return.
