“Opening Day”
 
As a diehard baseball/Mets fan, this piece pays tribute to one of my favorite days of the year, Opening Day. It is the day when anything is possible. Day 1. Everything is brand new, and everything from the past year is erased. It is a baseball fans New Years Day. What made me even more excited about this piece is as it came together, it began to take the shape of a catchers mask. Growing up, I played baseball and softball. My favorite position to play - Catcher.
