A Beautiful Fourth of July and Published Feature!
South Bay Art Association put on its 63rd Artists on the Lane in Bellport Village this Fourth of July, and I was honored to be a part of it! A full day of artisans showing their creations in Bellport Village and luckily with incredible weather!
It was pouring the day before, but luckily the sun was shining and it felt more like a spring morning on Long Island and not the muggy, humid Fourth of July we are used to having!
My husband deserves an award for helping/pretty much putting up my entire set up. Meeting so many new people and artists was amazing and totally worth the week of pain I went through afterwards! hahahaha.
To my friends and family who came out to support me, THANK YOU! It meant the world to me to see familiar faces in a sea of strangers! But most of all, thank you to the South Bay Art Association for putting such an amazing day together. They had so many volunteers who put the day together that are truly special people. They were beyond kind and thoughtful individuals who were constantly asking me if I needed anything or a break from my booth. They just showed a kindness on a level that you forget exists after living in isolation for 18 months!
Then to top this incredible day of human interaction and creativity, LI Advance featured one of my pieces in their feature of the event! "My Obsession" was shown along with two other artists, Jen Gilroy and Ken Jackson, both who were my neighbors at the show!
